Win a Wine Cellar at the St. Bernadette Parish
With the holidays approaching, how about a guts of wine to go with your special meal or to give to a special friend? Or how about 100 bottles of wine? Saint Bernadette Parish is selling sweepstakes tickets for the chance to win 100 bottles of wine, each worth more than $15.
A collection of different wines will be delivered to the winner (within 20 miles of the Parish). The picture will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29 at the St. Bernadette vendor even-handed at 1 p.m. Tickets are $50, and only 250 tickets will be sold.
All proceeds from the wine draw will help support St. Bernadette Parish’s ministries.
“The champ of the wine raffle will have their pick of great wines to pair with their Thanksgiving wine, take to Christmas parties, give as gifts and, of course, enjoy at relaxed relaxing with their family and friends,” said Ann McDonald, peaceable life director at St. Bernadette Parish. “You will be the conqueror of an instant wine cellar!”
“I am purchasing a ticket with my neighbor. We hope to win and split the second wine cellar. I prefer red wine, and my neighbor prefers white wine. We both win if our ticket is tired,” said Helen Fifer, St. Bernadette parishioner.
Monterey thriving as a wine region
Dotted with souvenir shops and four-wheeled surreys, Cannery Row is a ostentatious tourist spectacle that would have appalled author John Steinbeck, who employed the Monterey landmark as a setting for one of his most popular novels.

Tasting selections swap weekly and offer a chance to sample the extraordinary brand and quality of wines produced from the more than 175 vineyards that comprise Monterey Wine Mountains. Be sure to pick up a brochure with the names of area restaurants that will cede the corkage fee if you bring in a bottle of wine purchased from the shop.
