SALEM — Salem Chief Street’s 11th Annual Gospel Fest is set to take standing this Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Martin Luther
King Park on Trade in Street here.
This year’s headline attraction will be Contravene For Family Fellowship Mass Choir, from Wilmington, Del., under the captaincy of Salem native Kandee Hinmon.
According to Viola Marshal, a volunteer on the Truth Fest committee, the Fight for Family choir has roots in Salem County, and having the choir onboard for this year’s incident should make for a great addition.
“This year’s featured choir is moving for Gospel Fest,” said Marshal. “The panel is looking forward for this year to be an awesome event.”
Marshal said the cabinet is also excited to bring internationally-known gospel artist Mikki Kornegay to the occurrence this year. Kornegay is also a Salem native, said Marshal.
