Officials aim to lay out $150,000 on engineering as soon as this
year, with replacement to follow in winter 2012.
Made of bona fide and foam, the digester lid is starting to bulge
because of its constant uncovering to corrosive methane gas and is in
“dire straits,” Flood Resource Manager Susie Turner said.
“Gas is pushing up and gentle of eating through the concrete. It’s
not really stable anymore,” she said.
An estimated $30,000 in improvements to the assign’s denitrification
system will be needed to keep the city in compliance with new
permit limits issued in January by the Montana Concern of
Environmental Quality.
City officials plan to fork out an estimated $110,000 next fiscal year
to replace the aging ersatz rubber roof liner at the plant. It
was leaking into the put down room and had to be patched again as
recently as a week ago.
“One thing we’ll do is have a professional up look at it,” Public
Works Director Bill Shaw told the board. “Probably no more than
five years off, you’re going to have to do this.”

Cake plate is actually a cheesekeeper

Show one's gratitude you,
- P.G., Elk Grove Village, Ill.
Dear P.G.: Unmarked ceramics can be something of a agony in the neck to identify, but we feel certain that this piece is English and pre-1891. A circa-1885 beau is probably about right.
We can understand why someone might think this could be a cake second c campaign for. Unfortunately, if a frosted cake were placed inside this contrivance, its frosting would be scraped off every period the lid was lifted - and no one could see the pretty icing through the heavy pottery lid.
No, P.G. got it to be just: This is a cheese keeper, but more specifically, this is a Stilton cheese warder. Stilton is an English blue cheese with a strong aroma, and cheese keepers such as this one were designed to keep the sharp odor in so it would not spread throughout the entire house.
In addition, Stilton would also dry out as it aged, and the dome was designed to keep the moisture in. The holes in the lid were designed to let in a scarcely air to discourage the growth of unwanted mold.
