Evansville boy, 10, accused of threatening grandmother, neighbors with knives

Armed with a yoke of knives and free from his home-detention monitoring device, a 10-year-old Evansville boy allegedly threatened a kinfolk member and neighbors, among other offenses, before being arrested Saturday vespers all the time, an Evansville Police Department incident report said.
The boy, whose name was not released because he’s a minor-league, was taken to Youth Care Center that night on prologue charges of criminal mischief to a vehicle, criminal playfulness, two counts of intimidation with a weapon and escape, which is a felony.
According to the communication, the boy’s 47-year-old grandmother, who lives in the 700 blank out of Judson Street, reported the incidents about 7:42 p.m.
The moll called 911 saying the boy had threatened her and when police arrived, officers reported the boy threatened to assassinate a neighbor and her 4-year-old grandson while he held the knives, the report said.
Officers on view said they also saw the boy cut the storm door screen with the knives and threw boulder and wood bark at a neighbor’s car, the report said.

Woodbury student apprehended with knives, marijuana at East Ridge dance

A Woodbury young lady’s days in District 833 may be numbered, depending on the end result of allegations that he attempted to bring two knives and bags of marijuana to a loaded school dance.
Woodbury police said formal charges were on hold against a 14-year-old boy who was stopped Sept. 16 at East Line High School during a school dance. Woodbury boys in blue Commander Jay Alberio said charges could include province of a dangerous weapon on school property – a unrefined misdemeanor – and two petty misdemeanors: possession of a pocket-sized amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Washington County adolescent-division prosecutors were still considering the charges Friday, Alberio said.
According to a guard report, the boy approached dance ticket-takers at 9:06 p.m. preferential East Ridge. School staff said the boy stunk of marijuana and refused baton efforts to search his bag.
The boy fled the building’s front doors, where monitor made contact with him. Police said the suspect was at first uncooperative and pulled away after being told the commissioner was going to search his backpack.
