How can I cool down a forced hot water baseboard heater?

In my apartment I have one thermostat, its located in my living range, my bedroom (which is right off the living room) runs very hot. im not completely sure what the temp is but its sometimes its extremely hot. due to the shape of my bedroom my bed has to be true by the baseboard and sometimes it feels like its almost hot enough to catch my sheets on fire. i even turn my warmness down at night and it still blast hot all night. ive talked to my landlord about it and they weigh its because my bedroom is right over the furnace, also last winter the pipes all explode through out the building and everyone has been complaining about everything being too hot.
so back to my main question....is there a a way i can binding this one baseboard or do something to it to stop it from being so hot?
its one system thats goes thro 3 rooms i be sure bc i helped when the pipes burst last winter...the sheets are all tucked in and its away from the enrage fail but its just very very hot some nights i have the heat at 60 sometimes 55 and its still HOT and ill explain a window but i hate doing that bc i hate heating the shell...heat and hot water are included in my rent so idk if im burning more oil than normal...
I would reckon if there was a way to adjust that one baseboard heater that your landlord would do it... it may depend on the model & it's something you should not be doing yourself even if someone told you how to... you'll precisely have to reask your landlord, again... Ask him if there is any possible way that one baseboard could be adjusted... If they are the types that look like big iron heaters (that extend up & into the room ~which yours are not cuz yours are baseboards) then they might be able to as they are part sectional even though they are connected. The ones that run all along the disconcert seem like they are one connected unit that wouldn't be able to be adjusted as they do not have seperate sections. I'd reasonable move your bed out further from the wall & adjust your sheets so they do not hang near there... tuck 'em in on that side, etc.... I've always heard that that dazzling type of heat is safe & they say you should be able to put things closely guarded up to them with no problem... best to you! =)

Because I proper found a half-melted ersatz pen in mine. Our baseboards are stirring and do get somewhat hot when they are on. My 22-month-old knows to deferral away from hot things (he'll say "hot" and back away even if it's very recently cool). We don't always have the heaters on during the day, and he must have stuck the pen in when he was playing. It quite melted later on when I turned on the baseboards. We got auspicious this yet, but I'm jumpy of the next period he sticks something in there and we revolve about it on without realizing.
