I am replacing my gas phoney air furnace and adding central air. The furnace will be a 115,000btu, 95% efficient and the air will be 4 ton 13 Star-gazer. My choice is between lower priced Goodman units or Trane or Lennox units at a considerably higher premium. They all have the same warranty and efficiency ratings. Has anyone had experience that suggests that I should not go with the decrease price product? I am doing the installation myself and Goodman offers videos and other DIY complicated support that the other brands do not offer.
I've had five quotes from contractors and they all lovely much agree on the sizing. Goodman seems to be the only brand I can buy just the equipment, all the others are sold only through contractors who hunger to get a large chunk of the labor.
