Coffee lovers help me please. My 7 year old glass carafe coffee maker just died. I am in mourning. It would burn the coffee so fast -- so i would unplug it after it made the coffee. My first cup was hot. My second cup I would have to heat up in the microwave. yes. no kidding. So I was thinking -- would a thermal carafe keep the coffee hot without burning it? Do Thermal carafes work better? Thank you.

I just purchased this item on line and it showed “free shipping” and no tax. When I got my confirmation they are charging me $26.46 for shipping which was the highest price of anyone on line. I could have purchased it at Bed, Bath and Beyond with a 20% coupon on there price of $69.89. I have contacted Amazon and I am waiting to see how they handle this. This was very upsetting to see the confirmation email come in. I used the 1-click ordering system which does not show you a confirmation on screen but emails you one. I would avoid this option if I were you.
This is getting one star simply because I can’t give it zero stars. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the filth that this coffee makes is undrinkable. There is an overpowering stale, oily taste from the first cup to the last. Perhaps that’s an improvement for those using cheap canned coffee, but for the rest of us, that’s unacceptable.
I’ve tried cleaning it, using different filters, using filtered water, and using different coffees. Every pot is bad.
