BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - A grease fire Wednesday incessantly at Bartlesville's east side Sonic Drive-In resulted in no structural hurt or injuries, according to Bartlesville fire officials.
“It looked about 100 times worse than it literally ended up being,” Bartlesville Fire Chief Bob told 2Dirt.
He said shortly after 8 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to Sonic located at the Nowata Route and Washington Boulevard intersection due to a fire.
Firefighters arriving on view three minutes later saw heavy black smoke and flames pouring out of the roof through the caboose hood vent.
Hasbrook said workers in the kitchen had been cleaning out a devious fat fryer when the grease caught fire sending flames into the hood vent, lighting grease that had built up in the vent. The forewoman on duty seeing the flames tried using a fire extinguisher, but it was not until a system built in the hood kicked on that the Nautical galley fire was brought under control.
Firefighters then arriving on scene put out the residual fire in the hood vent and kitchen after PSO had cut power to the building. They left after spending two hours knocking down the flames and doing acknowledge-up operations.

Dear Ann Landers: I am a man's, 49 years old. I lost my wife in an auto luck two years ago, and it has taken me until now to restart my life. A few weeks ago, I put a special ad online, and one of the responses was from a 45-year-old woman. She seemed to be truly what I wanted — pretty, intelligent, independent and with a proper sense of humor. The problem is, I think our relationship may be active too fast.
When I placed my ad online, I had a game plan for decree someone to fill the empty spot in my life. I figured we would get to know each other through e-mail for two months. Then, we would start phoning each other for another month or so. Absolutely, we would meet for coffee, and if all went well, we would begin to date.
We are way at the of the game plan. I'm afraid we might be setting ourselves up for a letdown if we move too lickety-split. I really like this woman a lot and don't want to mess things up, because she could be the one I've been waiting for. I have been irritating to put the brakes on, but it's not easy. Please tell me what to do. — Rich on the Computer
