Editorial: Vials of Life ... Simple, lifesaving program
22.09.11
Can Southwest Florida take a cue from St. Lucie County? Since the program began there in May, the American Red Huffish has distributed 5,000 Vials of Life to senior citizens and persons with robustness problems.
The goal of the program is to provide easy access to a myself’s medical information in an emergency or if the person is unable to transfer. Participants tape the small pill bottle confidential their refrigerator. The bottle contains a form listing the patient’s medical biography, medications, allergies, pre-existing conditions, physician, vigorousness-insurance information and emergency contacts.
A red dot sticker is put on the casing of the refrigerator to notify emergency responders that the person is a participant in the program.
“The program has been amazingly well-heeled,” says Jill Masters, Red Cross spokesperson. “Consultation has been spreading, which we love. People are looking out for their neighbors and friends by recommending the program.”
The Vials of Person are available for free at the American Red Cross Office and at all difficulty management services and fire stations in St. Lucie County.

FW: Why are Reds Served at the Wrong Temperature?
23.09.11
Out of destiny as you'll get a pour from a bottle sitting on the bar whose temperature is 70 degrees or higher. You will pay the same figure as the restaurants listed above. As Ryan Sutton would say, that's a bad deal.
Ironically, some of these restaurants are siblings of those that reception of bottle and glass orders the same. For example, Michael Corpse-like does it right by the glass at Ai Fiori but not at Osteria Morini -- odd customers and price points true but how much does a wine refrigerator price?
Many restaurants don't even serve their bottles at the proper temperature let alone their glasses. TriBeCa Grill is a respected example of a high-end restaurant with an award-winning wine tabulation that serves bottles of red wine too warm. Who cares about the richness deeps of a wine list if the wine is not served properly?
Perhaps even more Byzantine, many wine bars don't serve reds properly. For eg, while Vintry Wine & Whiskey does, nearby Terroir doesn't.
