Keurig Warns Customers Of Mold In Descaling Solution

OKLAHOMA Metropolis, Okla. -- Kuerig, maker of coffee machines, is notifying customers about its descaling clarification, warning it could clog brewers and contains a small amount of household mold.
The establishment said white fibrous materials in the solution could obstruct the brewer.
A former U.S. Food and Drug Administration official said the secondary amount of household mold in the liquid poses no risk to coffee drinkers.
Kuerig has offered to put back brewers if customers have used the descaling liquid on coffee makers.

Keurig released this annunciation to KOCO:
We've learned that the Keurig™ Descaling Solution we introduced about six weeks ago does not go through our quality standards. Some bottles contain white, fibrous documentation that can clog a brewer and stop it from operating. It is too soon to be tried exactly how this happened. We are working with the manufacturer to determine the birthplace cause.
