I've got a small food processor called the "Narrow-minded Oscar'. Its made by Oster/Sunbeam. It has a metal blade for chopping as well as a fake blade for doughs. I also have one that sits on my Kitchen Center disreputable, and that one also has both blade types. Not big units, but good enough to do about 2 cups at a a conditions. La Machine had a huge one with a very heavy duty motor, but its not as 'multi-tasking' as the Scullery Center. Wish Sunbeam/Oster would bring them back. I find I use mine for slicing, dicing, mixing dough and batters, blending/pureeing, ice cream making, and even grinding eatables, using all the various attachments..

— After a merciless day of work Tuesday trying to clean up her basement, the chili was a appreciated meal for Deborah Zalondek.

The supper came courtliness of the members of the First Presbyterian Church at 209 Union St., who have been delivering meals to residents of the inundation-ravaged Stockade.

Zalondek said she’s not sure she would have eaten otherwise.

“They’ve been wonderful,” Zalondek, of North Ferry In someone's bailiwick, said on Wednesday after polishing off another church-provided spread of a sandwich, piece of fruit and bottle of water. The knowledge was evident in her voice. “We weren’t eating at all. If they didn’t earn down here, we’d probably go one meal a day to McDonald’s, if we could even drive there.”

Members of the Stockade church have been providing the meals to appreciative residents since dinnertime Tuesday.

And they plan to continue their line through lunch today, when a Salvation Army canteen rubbish is expected to take over.

Members of the church, located in a part of the neighborhood untouched by floodwaters, began the achievement as a way to help their neighbors, members said.
