When using a food dehydrator, can you replace teflex paper with wax paper?

A woman gave me her dehydrator, but she doesn't have the owner's manual. I was looking at a bread means which requires dehydrating instead of baking - it's a raw food bread modus operandi. The recipe calls for the use of teflex paper in the dehydrator. I don't have any and was hoping to use wax thesis instead.
Since you asked this in the V&V measure out you should know that wax paper is made with wax that almost always contains ingredients made from animals! It is NOT veg-approachable!
You can use lightly oiled baking parchment paper to supplant the plastic sheeting without any problem at all. If you can't find parchment paper you can use (misapplication<g>) sheer drapery cloth. Seriously! That's what we used before those whimsy teflon sheets were invented (and I still use it on occasion).
BTW; your dehydrator should NEVER get hot enough to manage anything smoke inside it! And the paper or cloth won't blow around because the viands will weigh it down.
